This is a very clean 1950 Super Grade rifle chambered in .270 WCF. The rifle has been used but well cared for. It retains its original factory finishes with no added holes or other modifications. It grades in NRA very good to excellent condition.
The stock is in very good condition with its original finish and no cracks or stains. There are a number of very minor handling marks but no major blemishes. The original checkering has not been recut and is crisp and unblemished. The stock has not been shortened and retains its original steel buttplate. The metal parts are in excellent condition. The original bluing grades at 97% with slight edge wear and just a few light scratches. There is one noteworthy scuff in the bluing located on the tang and one small rub on the underside of the barrel (see photos). Other than these two spots, the bluing is near flawless. There are no gouges, pits dings or other damages to the metal parts of the rifle. The bore of the 24" barrel is bright with strong rifling, no pits and no throat erosion - virtually perfect. Under the sight hood is the correct Redfield gold bead sight, which is unique to the Super Grade rifle. At the rear is the correct 22G sight with the correct 3G elevator. The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver and the rifle is mechanically sound with no problems noted in our inspection.
This rifle includes the original factory swivels and a vintage 1" Boyt sling
