This is a fine .270 Winchester Featherweight rifle, produced in 1955, grading in NRA very good condition. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver.
The original bluing grades at 95%. The is a small worn spot on the barrel, see pictures, and a few scratches and smaller worn spots in scattered locations. There is very little edge wear.
The bore of the 22" barrel shows almost no wear in the throat and a few scattered pits. For these reasons, it rates an 8 out of 10 upon borescope inspection.
The refinished stock is in near perfect condition, without any notable dings, scratches, gouges, cracks, splits, or repairs. The checkering is clean and crisp, in near perfect condition. The stock retains its factory-original aluminum buttplate in excellent condition (refinished).
