This is a .270 Win. standard barrel from a 1951 Model 70 rifle. The barrel has been reblued by the Pre64 team.
Bluing and Metal - The finish is in excellent condition (refinished) with just a few small spots of shallow freckling showing through the new finish. There are a series of small dings around the rear sight dovetail, probably used to pin the rear sight into place. These will be hidden by the rear sight. There are no deep dings or gouges.
Bore - The bore has very little throat wear and just a few shallow pits. We rate it as a 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
