This is a beautiful standard rifle chambered in .270 Winchester, produced in 1950. The rifle grades in NRA excellent condition.
The metal grades at 95% with all original bluing and only few light cosmetic scratches to the barrel and bottom metal. The bore of the 24" barrel is in very good condition, with strong rifling, light wear in the throat, and no notable pitting. We grade this bore an 8/10 with the boroscope.
The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver (143881) and all other parts appear to be original to the rifle.
The elegant low-comb stock is a refinish but closely resembles the factory finish and color. It contains no gouges, cracks, or oil stains, showing only small handling marks from use and some wear to the butt plate. The checkering is mostly clean, with a few lightly worn spots.
