This is a standard Winchester model 70 rifle chambered in .270 Winchester and produced in 1951. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 180184 (faintly on the bolt).

The receiver has some edge wear but no dings, scratches or other damage. The bolt components have minor finish wear, but the bolt knob has notable wear and freckling. The bottom metal has a small patch of freckling on the trigger guard, and the floorplate has a series of small dings - probably from hitting the floorplate to latch it. The barrel has a small worn spot and a small patch of freckling, but no dings or scratches in the metal.

The bore of the 24" barrel has no notable throat wear and just minor pitting. We rate it a 9 out of 10 under borescope evaluation.

The low comb stock retains its original finish. The stock has no splits, cracks, or other major damage but does have some dings, dents, and scratches. The checkering has a couple small dings, and a few spots are beginning to flatten. The original steel butt plate has some bluing loss with dings and scratches.
