This .270 Win Sporter rifle was produced in 1952 - the heyday of model 70 production. This is a really nice rifle in original factory-original finishes and no modifications. It grades in NRA very good condition. This is a fantastic collectible rifle, and one you don't need to feel guilty about taking out of the safe and shooting!
The stock retains its factory finish in very good condition. The stock has not been shortened and the factory steel buttplate is present. There are a few light handling marks in the wood and some honest handling wear on the finish, and other than a small blemish behind the RH side of the grip, there are no notable blemishes - no cracks, gouges, or stains in the wood and the checkering is intact with no problems. The original bluing is about 95% with some general thinning, edge and muzzle wear, but no noteworthy blemishes. The bore of the 24" barrel is bright with strong rifling.
