This is a .30-06 Springfield Featherweight barrel. The manufacturing date is not legible. It has the number 5 front sight ramp, indicating it was probably manufactured around 1954. The #5 ramp was only used for a short period of time and Roger Rule describes it as "experimental" in his book The Rifleman's Rifle.
Bluing - 95% - The bluing is dark and even with only very minor wear near the muzzle.
Metal - Overall, this barrel is in very good to excellent condition; there are a few very minor scratches.
Bore - 8/10 - There is no throat wear but enough pitting to reduce the rating to an 8 out of 10. Borescope verified.
