This is a Winchester model 70 Featherweight rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 473152, indicating a 1960 manufacture date. This rifle grades in NRA very good condition.
The low comb stock has its original finish and a Pachmayr recoil pad. There are a few handling marks, a ding from a previously mounted receiver sight, and a notable gouge on the right side, adjacent to the front receiver ring. The checkering is in very good condition with almost no wear.
There is no damage to the metal components but there is notable finish wear, especially on the barrel and the bolt handle. The aluminum bottom metal has some scratches, fading, and edge wear. All parts appear to be original and correct for the rifle.
The bore has no throat wear but just enough shallow pits near the muzzle that it gets rated as an 8 out of 10. Borescope verified.
