This is a .30-06 standard rifle produced in 1950. The receiver and bolt have matching serial numbers, 159907.
The bluing on the barrel and receiver is mostly dark and even, with some edge wear, a worn spot from the rear sight, and a thinning spot on the rear bridge. There is also some residue on the rear bridge from scope bases. The bottom metal has some thinning, edge wear, and shallow scratches. The bolt handle also has notable thinning. There are no deep dings, dents, or other notable metal damage.
The 24" barrel has a little wear in the throat and scattered shallow pitting, resulting in a grade of 8 out of 10 upon borescope inspection.
The stock appears to have an older refinish, with a few light handling marks, but no splits, cracks, chip or repairs. The stock retains its factory-original steel butt plate which has notable wear and a few light scratches. The original checkering has a few small flats spots.
