This is a very clean .30-06 standard rifle made in 1951. Overall this rifle grades in NRA excellent approaching perfect condition.
The metal finishes are all original with bluing grading at better than 95%. There is bluing wear visible on the bolt knob, but no other noted areas of wear. There are no rubs, pits, gouges or other noteworthy blemishes in the metal or bluing.
The stock on this rifle has been fully restored in our shop. It it a beautifully figured and colored piece of walnut in perfect/rested condition, including the steel buttplate reblued. There are no cracks, stains, gouges, chips or other noteworthy blemishes. The checkering is crisp with no blemishes. The stock has not been shortened, bedded or otherwise modified.
This is the first year of the Monte Carlo stock and all parts are correct for this configuration, including the high comb stock with steel buttplate and folding Marble 69 rear sight. The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver.
