This is a beautiful .30-06 Super Grade rifle produced in 1954. It grades in NRA very good condition.
The factory-original metal finishes grade at 90%, with no significant scratches, pits, or other damage. There are two small dings on the rear receiver bridge, probably from sights. The barrel bluing is nearly perfect, with one small scuff to the top of the barrel from a spring sight. Under the sight hood is the correct Redfield gold bead sight, which is unique to the Super Grade rifle. There are no notable cosmetic flaws aside from light handling marks and some light edgewear to the bottom metal.
The bore has no throat wear but some scattered pits, resulting in a rating of 8 out of 10 under borescope valuation.
The stock has been professionally refinished in the pre64win shop and equipped with a reproduction Winchester recoil pad. There are no cracks, deep scratches, scrapes, or stains. The checkering is crisp and unblemished, and overall the stock is in beautiful, nearly perfect condition. There is wear and freckling on the grip cap.
The bolt is appropriately jeweled and serial number matched to the rifle.
In our estimation, this is a genuine factory Super Grade rifle which has been well cared for.
