This is a 1957 Super Grade .30-06 rifle in NRA excellent condition with matching serial numbers (398926) on the bolt and receiver.
The metal is in excellent condition with original factory finishes, no notable blemishes and very little bluing wear. There are a few light marks from a scope base on the rear bridge, and some light wear on the receiver rails and firing pin.
The stock is original to the rifle with a Monte Carlo comb and a factory red recoil pad. The stock has been fully restored by the pre64Win team. The restored finish closely resembles the factory finish and the stock has no noted blemishes, damage or repairs.
An examination of the bore suggests this rifle was fired very little; there is almost no wear either in the throat or at the muzzle. There is some light pitting throughout the 24" bore, giving it a grade of 8 out of 10.
