This is a documented US PROPERTY Van Orden sniper rifle. It is listed by serial number in the Evaluator's Ltd documents published in Chandler & Chandler's Death From Afar Volume 1. This rifle was delivered to the US Army in Pennsylvania in 1995.
The bore is in excellent condition. There is only a slight amount of wear in the throat and light pitting near the muzzle. Borescope verified. The stock is orignal to the rifle with some wear but no significant issues.
This rifle comes with an original and correct Lyman Super Targetspot scope in the original wooden box. The scope can be sold separately from the rifle at the price of $1499
Some Van Orden rifles saw combat duty during the Korean and Vietnam wars. It is not possible to know if this rifle was ever in-theater with an Army sniper, but the condition and lack of a US PROPERTY mark may indicate use other than with a rifle team.
