Winchester produced only 7,452 rifles in all chamberings in 1942 and this .30-06 is one of them. This particular rifle come to us fully restored from a local collector in trade for some even rarer rifles. The bolt is faintly marked with the same serial number as the receiver (46654) and all other parts appear to be original to the rifle. The receiver has not been drilled for scope mounts.

The stock is in excellent (refinished) condition with only one shallow ding on the butt and a few very shallow scratches, but no cracks, stains, gouges, or other major damage. The checkering is original and also in near perfect condition. The stock is unmodified and retains its original steel buttplate, which is also in near perfect (re-blued) condition.

The re-blued finish grades at better than 95% condition and the metal has no significant damage.

The barrel has no notable throat wear but enough shallow pitting to result in a rating of 7 out of 10 under borescope examination.
