This .300 H&H Magnum Super Grade rifle, produced in 1954, is in very good to excellent condition. All parts are correct and appear to be original to the rifle. Both the bolt and receiver are marked with the serial number 307902.
The metal retains its original finish with some minor wear. There is notable bluing wear on the bolt handle, a small scratch on the trigger guard, a rub on the receiver rear bridge, and a few very small patches of freckling near the muzzle, but no rust, deep scratches, or other damage.
The Monte Carlo stock probably has an original finish but may have an early refinish. It is in very good to excellent condition with no significant dings, scratches, or splits. There is some dark staining in the tang area and a small ding from the base of a receiver sight. The checkering is in very good condition the stock retains the original steel butt plate.
The bore of the 26" barrel has only light throat wear and no pits, rating an 8 out of 10. Borescope verified.
