This is an early .308 Winchester Featherweight rifle, produced in 1953 (2nd year of production). This rifle grades in NRA excellent condition.
This rifle has all original bluing, grading at 95%, and the metal is in excellent condition. There are a few light scratches on the receiver and bottom metal and slight edge wear on the receiver. The bolt handle has minimal wear in the bluing.
The bore of the 22" barrel has almost no throat wear but has enough pitting to grade a 8 out of 10. Borescope verified.
The stock has its original finish and is in excellent condition. There is almost no of wear or significant gouges, dents, or cracks. There is one small rubbed spot on the butt. The checkering is original with no notable flattening. The factory aluminum buttplate is intact and good condition, with some finish wear and shallow scratches.
The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the rifle
