This .338 Winchester Magnum rifle was produced in 1959. The .338 Win Mag cartridge had been introduced by Winchester in 1958.
The metal grades at 95% with all original bluing and no notable blemishes. There is normal handling wear on the bolt handle and around the muzzle along with a very few light, shallow scratches, but no significant damages, pitting, notable rubs or other issues.
The Monte Carlo stock has been refinished by the team here at Pre64Win and includes a replacement butt pad. The checkering is clean and crisp, and there are no noted dings, gouges, or other damage to the wood.
The bore of the 26" barrel is in very good condition with only very minor wear in the throat and a few smaller pits near the muzzle. It grades a 8 out of 10 under borescope inspection.
All parts are correct and, except for the butt pad, appear to be original to the rifle. The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver.
