This .375 H&H Magnum standard rifle was produced in 1955. This rifle grades in NRA very good to excellent condition.
The metal grades at 95%. The bluing on the barrel is in excellent condition with almost no wear. The barrel has a few minor scratches but no notable rubs or other defects. The receiver has a faint impression in the bluing from a previously installed scope mount. Overall, there is no major wear to the factory bluing.
The Monte Carlo stock rates in very good overall condition with a factory Winchester recoil pad. With the recoil pad the length of pull is 13-5/8" and has not been shortened. The stock has been refinished and is in excellent condition. Two notable items are a slight gap in the fit of the recoil pad, and a very tight and possibly repaired crack at the rear trigger guard screw hole. Please see photos. The checkering is crisp and clean and has not been recut.
The bore of the 25" medium contour barrel is excellent and appears to have possibly never been fired. There's no evidence of use and it grades a 10 out of 10 under borescope inspection.
The bolt is serial # matched to the receiver. All parts are correct and appear to be original to the rifle.
