This is a Type-III bolt housing with a face for standard cartridges. The handle has been ground to allow for scope clearance.
Handle bluing - The bluing is worn.
Metal - The handle has been ground and has some tooling marks. The bolt body is in very good condition, and a faint serial number is visible.

NOTE: While model 70 bolts may appear to be interchangeable, to safely replace the bolt in a rifle requires the action to be checked for proper headspacing and lug seating. This is a simple procedure which can be performed in a matter of minutes by a qualified gunsmith.
