Winchester jeweled the bolts of Super Grade model 70 rifles produced after 1955. Custom rifles often jewel the bolt and follower, and sometimes even the bolt guides of the receiver. Jeweling can add that final touch to a restoration project or custom rifle.
Also called "engine turning", our jeweling is precision applied using a mill and a spin index. This method is able to locate each polished swirl to within a few thousandths of an inch. The finished result is a precise and beautiful geometric pattern polished directly into the surface of the metal.
