This is a complete bolt assembly for a .270 or .30-06 rifle, made between 1948 and 1952. The bolt housing, extractor, and extractor ring have been jeweled, and the bolt knob has been reblued.
Handle bluing - The handle has been reblued, and contains some thinning on the knob and a small scuff on the handle.
Metal - The metal has been jeweled. There are no notable scratches in the bolt body. The serial number is no longer visible.

NOTE: While model 70 bolts may appear to be interchangeable, to safely replace the bolt in a rifle requires the action to be checked for proper headspacing and lug seating. This is a simple procedure which can be performed in a matter of minutes by a qualified gunsmith.
