This is a custom stock made for a pre-war standard rifle. It is inlet for the cloverleaf style tang and will fit any standard rifle produced between 1936 and 1948. Beautifully crafted, this stock features elegant checkering, and an ebony tip and grip cap. The recoil pad appears to be leather covered. The stock is inlet for Supergrade style sling swivels. The wood has been stained with a dark, rich stain. The recoil lug area is stamped "H Henshaw Pittsburgh"
There are some light handling marks but no significant gouges, dents, or other damage. This stock had previously been modified to fit a rifle with a side-mount scope base. This modification has been filled and blended to match the color and contour of the rest of the stock.
