This is a custom stock made for a Winchester model 70 rifle. The action inletting is for a post-war receiver (1948-1963). It has a custom barrel channel, not consistent with any Winchester factory barrel.
The Monte Carlo stock features a cheek rest, contrasting fore end tip, and diamond shaped checkering. It's equipped with a Sorbocoil brand recoil pad and Uncle Mike's style sling studs. The somewhat glossy finish on this stock remains in excellent condition with a few light handling marks and scuffs but no major scratches or other serious blemishes. The wood is structurally sound with no cracks, chips, dents or past repairs. There is some bedding material
The barrel channel is a custom contour. At the widest point it measures 1-1/4" and at the narrowest point it measures just shy of 1".
The length of pull measures 14".
