This is a beautiful custom stock made for a Winchester model 70 rifle. The action inletting is for a post-war receiver (1948-1963). The barrel channel appears to have originally been made for a standard barrel contour, then was later modified for either a featherweight or a custom barrel contour. It has bedding material that may require some relieving to be fitted to the next rifle.
This Monte Carlo stock is in pristine condition with no cracks, splits, dents, scratches or handling marks. It features a cheek rest, flared grip, wraparound checkering, contrasting forend tip and inlaid wood designs. The finish isn't overly glossy or overcoated. The Decelerator recoil pad remains soft and pliable. The length of pull is 13-1/2". Please see the last few images for closeups of the barrel contouring. A factory featherweight barrel has been laid in place to show the fit.
