This is a custom Monte Carlo stock for a 1948-1963 standard rifle. It is fitted with a Pachmayr recoil pad; it's slightly proud around the edges. The rifle was bedded to this stock, including the bottom metal. The bedding may need to be relieved to fit your action. The rear action screw hole has a piece of brass tubing for support. The bottom metal channel appears to have been cut wider initially (custom bottom metal?) and then bedding material was used to fit the gap.
There are a few small, shallow dings, but no other significant damage.
