This is a custom stock made for a post-war .375 H&H Magnum rifle. The inletting on this stock indicates it was produced by the Winchester factory, and the recoil pad, sling swivels, and grip cap all appear to be factory original parts. It features an ebony forend tip and there is no checking. It appears this started out as a Super Grade stock, and then had the checkering removed.
The stock is in excellent overall condition. The finish is even and smooth throughout the piece. There are no nicks or scratches in the wood. The receiver inlet has been modestly bedded in the recoil lug area. The recoil pad is in very good condition, without cracks - it is missing plugs over the mounting screws.
