These sight slot blanks fill the rear sight dovetail when the sight is removed. This was done in the Winchester factory for rifles fitted with a receiver sight and is also helpful for creating additional objective clearance when installing a scope.
Lyman 12S - Winchester used this sight slot blank in the factory. This slot blank changed style in 1955, from flat to rounded.
Lyman 12SS - This slot blank is similar to the 12S, but slightly smaller. It is better suited for use on Featherweight rifles.
Some aftermarket receiver sights and scope mounts came with branded sight slot blanks and we have a nice selection of these as well. These vintage slot blanks offered here are from Marble, Stith and Williams are all period correct for a pre-64 rifle.
All blanks are vintage parts in very good to excellent condition.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
