This is a matching receiver and bolt body pair from a 1957 standard rifle.  Both pieces are marked with the serial number 404935.  Both the receiver and bolt body have the original finish.

Receiver - Overall, this receiver is in very good condition.  The receiver bluing is original; showing light wear on the rails and in the tang area. There is a rub near the Winchester logo, and some bluing loss on the recoil lug, but no other notable scratches, dings or other metal damage. There are no holes or modifications to the receiver.

Bolt Body - The bolt body is in very good condition.  The bolt handle has some minor bluing loss. The bolt body itself has no significant scratches, nicks, or other forms of metal damage on the piece.

We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
