This is a unique receiver; a transition model, having the cloverleaf tang and an undrilled, smooth rear bridge, and also having the clip loading slot. This configuration was only found on target rifles (National Match, Target Model, Bull gun) made in 1948. The receiver and bolt are both marked with the serial number 87157, indicating a 1948 manufacture date.

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
