This is a receiver from a 1956 standard rifle, marked with the serial number 378149. The screw in the front trigger guard hole broke off, the remaining portion was drilled, and the remains of the screw are still in the hole. This screw is used to hold the trigger guard in place but is not used with aftermarket, one-piece bottom metal (Sunnyhill, others). Aside from this broken screw, the receiver is in excellent condition with no other metal damage or modifications. The finish is also in excellent condition with only slight wear.

We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
