This is a complete standard action from a 1962 Model 70 rifle, fully customized and ready for a build. The receiver has been fully blueprinted, a Timney trigger has been installed along with custom one-piece bottom metal, and the bolt and magazine follower have been jeweled. The receiver is marked with serial number 562990; there is no marking on the bolt.
The bluing is in excellent condition, but the receiver face needs re-bluing because it has fresh metal from the blueprinting. The one-piece steel bottom metal is unfinished. The is minor freckling on the bottom metal around the front action screw; this is shallow and should disappear when prepped for finishing.
The action has been fully blueprinted including squaring the receiver threads. The threads are now 0.010" oversize and will require custom fitting of a barrel from a new blank.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
