Any Winchester Model 70 enthusiast can appreciate this elegant and informative first edition book by Dean H. Whitaker.  Each copy holds 210 pages of Model 70 information and over 250 detailed photographs, all hard bound with stylish gold-foil embossed lettering on the cover.

Available with or without author's hand-signed autograph.  The autographed - excellent copy has a hand-written inscription from a previous owner on the inside cover.

One exceptional copy includes a hand-written greeting inside the front cover, from author Dean H. Whitaker to his friend, Bob Porter, who is acknowledged on page 6 as a contributor to the book.  This same copy also comes with a hand-written letter dated January 1, 1979, from Whitaker to a Model 70 enthusiast named Donald F. Jones.  Jones had written to Whitaker offering feedback about his recently published book, and Whitaker sent the enclosed letter in response.  How this particular copy of the book and this letter found their way to one another is a mystery.
