This is a standard steel trigger guard from a Winchester Model 70 rifle. It is marked with a triangle-dash proof mark on the side, identifying it as a pre-war part (manufactured before 1948)
Bluing - 98%- The finish on this piece appears original in nearly perfect condition. It's possible that this piece was refinished at some point in the past, but it appears very much like factory finish. There is no notable edgewear, fading, thinning or freckling. There are only very tiny surface scratches or tool marks.
Metal - The metal remains in pristine condition with no damage.
